It's OK - mostly notable for John Mills' tapdancing.
Has anyone seen this ? It's going to be showing in NYC and I'm interested, because I've read it's Graham Greene's screenplay debut !

It starts off quite promisingly but after the opening half-hour becomes quite muddled. Mills attempts a dreadful pseudo-American gangster accent.
It is a fairly cheap quota quicky.Robert Newton features early on as Mills brother but the film goes downhill after he is murdered.Watch this film out of curiousity rather than in the hope of seeing some unknown masterpiece.
Cheers all, I might pick something else instead as it's apart of the Film Forum Brit Noir Festival. Is it available on DVD ?
You could probably pick it up on ioffer (I can't actually remember where I got mine). But it's probably the least interesting film in the season IMO.Originally Posted by billy bentley
