Merely an homage to the Captain after he so deftly put me out of my misery Quippy, you're correct.

    That gearstick took some Photoshopping!

name='GoggleboxUK']I had fun trying to figure it out even if it was a little like pulling teeth

At least it kept us busy until the cavalry arrived.
It was fun watching you wriggling

So that is how you get your jollies Steve

I think it was a question of the Greybeards (although I have yet to develop one—thank goodness) versus the Young Turks. I am only too thankful that no one can see me wriggling over some of the up-to-date puzzles, like the clowns from It—I hadn't a clue—although once one understood it, it was brilliant.

The Captain is very kind that way, she often helps the lost

I'm a bit busy tonight. I wonder if some stout yeoman would be kind enough to step into the proverbial breech and concoct a fiendish yet beautifully constructed catchphrase in my absence?

May we please have letters and words numbers?

Is that the Nile, and is that important? What I mean is, does the image denote a generic river, or a particular one?

It is the Nile but that is not important.

The first word is a typical crossword word for a river, the second requires the type of fish(it is an American species) the third is a character the Good Captain could help you with.

It is the almost forgotten Flower Drum Song ( I must admit off the top of my head the only song I can think from it is I Enjoy Being A Girl as done by every second rate drag act ).

    Of course.

I'll have to think of some harder ones.
