hi about 10years ago i watched a lovely film , it was british but set in france, a young english girl went to stay with relatives and fell in love with and older boy, but he then dumps her and the film finishes with her walking down an empty street to to song no regrets by edith piaf, i am desperate to find the film as i want my daughter to see it , i just remember it for how this young girl survived being dumped , it was very liberating , like a coming of age film, hope someone can help as far as i remember there were no big stars in it, it was in color and set in the 60,s/70,s very fashionable and the lead guy was maybe called phillipe, i know i should have remembered more sorry!

Cornershop is dead right on this one. It is "The Frog Prince"

Thanks Tony. I've just had a look at his profile and he stuck around for a day longer, never to return. This is the kind of poster that regularly annoys and frustrates myself and Euryale, something we've expressed several times. I could do with a few 'Provided Answers' to my name.

I remember The Frog Prince being shown on Channel 4 in the early hours one Saturday. It was okay, nothing special, but the young actress, Jane Snowden, reminded me of those ever-decreasing English Rose types - perfected by the aptly-named Claire BLOOM! .
