Dog ransom and Bank raid

Hi, can anyone remember a drama on Channel 5 I believe, about 10 or so years ago. The story went that a family had their dog stolen and were told he would be returned for a reward. Police were brought in and culprit jailed. But the gang terrorised the family into forcing the father them help rob the bank where he worked.

There was a thriller made for TV called 'A Dog's Ransom' (1972) which involves a family dog being kidnapped but this may be too random to show on Channel 5

Think this is the two-part mini-series from 2002 called Menace, which was shown on Channel 5.
