Back again with some more queries culled elsewhere from other posters that I am trying to help.

    1) "film (possibly hammer) that were made around the mid/late 70's or early 80's, features a large, ornately carved fireplace (possibly a gate to hell?) that gets destroyed with an axe and bleeds at the end of the show."

    2) "A black and white film that I saw in c. the late 1960s in a cinema in the UK: I now only remember the final scene. A woman is explaining the history of a house. There, a jealous husband had entrapped his wife in a room in which all of the exits were electrified. The wife died in that room. When the listeners ask how the narrator knows all this, she says "I was that woman" and fades away - she was the ghost of the victim."

No. 1 reminded me of the last segment of the Amicus film From Beyond The Grave (1973). Ian Ogilvy destroys an ornate, antique door (rather than a fireplace) with an axe. It has provided the threshold to another dimension where a warlock dwells. As the door is chopped down, I think the warlock correspondingly falls apart in bloody pieces!

Number 1 could be from the Hammer TV series called The House That Bled to Death. Been a while since I saw ut but there was also a scene where a pipe spilled blood from tahe ceiling all over the kids birthday cake.
