have you searched youtube?
i know there are one or two hard to find items on there,i just watched the children in need 1988 sketch.
Does anybody know of the whereabouts of the last remaining Blackadder specials that are missing from the box sets and other DVD collections? The short specials I'm looking for are:
•Women's Hour Invasion
•The Royal Gardener
•The Army Years
•The King's Birthday
They are fully described at the Blackadder fansite:
Blackadder Hall - The Specials
I am keen to see and hear these last remaining gems.

I recorded 'Blackadder: The Cavalier Years' on its' premiere broadcast, so I got all the phone numbers all over the screen as well. I have seen the 'Blackadder Meets Shakespeare' sketch on You Tube. It looked like there was a link to 'Blackadder: The Royal Gardener' on You Tube yesterday dinnertime, but I couldn't find it in the evening. I saw 'Blackadder: The Pilot Episode' a few years back.
The rest I've only seen transcriptions of, but they're missing from my collection. Does anybody know where I could get them from?

I know the Blackadder pilot episode & raw studio session exist in the BBC archive but have not been release in an official version by the BBC. Are these considered to be rare too?
I have the Ubaired Pilot and The Cavalier Years but that's about it for the rare stuff I'm afraid.

What do you think to the style of how he plays Blackadder?
To be honest I thought it was a good decision not to show the pilot episode. Its bad enough that there's no Tony Robinson but I felt like Blackadder just stepped out of the Tardis and come vack from series 2.
I wonder if the director made him play Blackadder differently in series 1 and then, because he was playing a different person, Rowan Atkinson went back to his original concept of the character in series 2?
If you ever get copies of the 4 special you're missing I'd be very interested to see them.

I watched Episode 6: The Black Seal of the Black Adder yesterday direct from the BBC digital master. The original VT clock was in place from 1983 showing its programme number to be LLCE010N/71, the first edit from the location work and studio recording session. Nice to see nothing was cut or feel needing to be re-ordered for a 72 edit as most shows end up been.
