For the first time in ages I am looking forward to the release of a new British American film. That film is The Men Who Stare at Goats, in which Ewan McGregor will star and annoy Batman more than this Arthur Askeyesque plagiarism.

Actually, the trailer did make me laugh.

There were a few TV doco's about these military fruitloops a while ago.......

Ewan is always good as the slightly bewildered, naive character - although he's getting on a bit for that sort of thing these days. His encounter in that trailer made me think of that one where he's a hapless mortuary assistant or something. Certainly more *convincing* than in Star Flaws.

Yep, a book and then CH4 doc. (I love the idea of 'passing through objects)

I presume this is the inspiration for Jeff Bridges character.

I'm looking forward to this one too.

Ewan McGregor is perhaps one of Britain's most versatile young actors and I'd watch him over Jude Law any day of the week.

George Clooney lends himself very well to comedy. O Brother Where Art Thou? is a magnificent movie and I hope this one comes close to being as funny.

    Roll on November!

A publicity still from the film featuring one of the goats and it's co-star Ewan MacGregor.

Surely that's Ewan as a youngster (or maybe as a kid? )

Now that he's grown up, here's a more recent picture
