    Hello

I am trying to locate the tv only screened edition of 'Clapperboard' from the 10/11/1980 which featured many films about the Titanic, but mainly focussed on the then forth-coming movie in 1980 'Raise The Titanic'.

I have searched high and low for this docu for many years without finding any leads. It is the only docu of the two made associated with the 'Raise The Titanic' movie that I cannot find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would be happy to trade any Titanic related material of interest.

You should be able to purchase a preview copy from ITN Source who hold the Granada and Clapperboard archive. The edition you want is listed below. You can usually purchase an expensive DVD preview copy if you have a reasonable explanation such as you were featured in the programme. It will set you back about 120...so you have to REALLY want it.

Were not aloan, there are others out there. Were like the A-Team, hidden from public view until we are needed.

    Update

No luck with Graham Murray. I received a letter back from him which states the docu no longer exsists.

ITV did email me to say that they do have it in their archives, but at cost - 100.

Sorry to hear that Graham didn't have it Jonathan....100 is the satandard rate for a copy from TV plus of course VAT and Postage. How badly do you want it is always the question?

I have paid this for many old doco's...being pleased that they are still available.

    Film Man.

Its a far and good point. This docu was never released to the public on video, only screened possibly once on tv, and so it makes it rare. And, as you say, it comes down to how much you want it in your own collection. 100 is a lot in one sense and to others who are not that keen on the subject matter, but worth it for in another for future prosperity.
