    Hi,

I was trying to remember an American comdey about two old men that break out from a retirement home that they hate, and try to act "young" again. One gets a young dancer girlfriend but in the end she is too lively for him.

Similar to Grumpy Old Men I think

    Thanks in advance!

    Jon

    Oh yeah, of course!

Completely forgot they were released from prison rather than a home, thanks very much!

Just looking on imdb and remembering the little hit-man guy, what a character.

    Thanks

It is. I've loved Iain since I was a small child - and was very sad at the news. I've used this avatar since joining the forum (apart from a few months when I had one of Gerge Sewell from Special Branch).

    Cheers!

I think A. Pemberton might be right. One of the ex-cons lives in a retirement home after getting out of prison and one of them gets involved with a young aerobics instructor.

Specifically, Burt leads a revolt in the OAP home - he's told the reason they get sops to eat is because of the oldies' false teeth, he falshes the Burt pegs and says "do these look false to you?". And Kirk gets it on with the aerobics teacher and there is a great disco scene. Kirk can keep up for a while and it's amazing to watch him.

The film is really about them growing old digracefully and planning one last big job.

Sorry, I misread the third posting and didn't realize the movie was found.
