I despair at this country sometimes, after Goody and Jacko dominated the news we now hand this talentless bint 1hr of primetime tv to no doubt slag her ex off and portray herself as the (scantily-clad, phished, falling out of nightclubs) victim.

And Morgan is as equally detestable.

Well she does say that she had a miscarriage which you can sympathise with but why go on t.v and tell people that and all the other stuff about your marriage, its beyond me, we all have awful things happen to us but some things are private surely? If me and mr FG split up I would be angry and find it disrespectful of him to go and t.v and tell all about our relationship Who would do that?????

Someone who had decided to live their live in the glare of publicity and was prepared to accept all that that meant, good and bad.

She has to bare her soul, and other things, to keep the vultures happy and to keep them interested. But that brings her the rewards she craves

She's actually one of the few people who have approached the whole fame thing honestly and fairly intelligently. She knows how the game is played and she plays it well

It's not the sort of way most people would really like to live their life, even if they did get all the rewards. But it's what she's chosen and she does it much better than most.

Surely not, Diana Dors was an actress and Katie Price isn't.

Well said, Freddy. I don't know why people bother with these women. This must be the worst time for female role models - Kerry Katona, Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, and many others who promote (I was going to use another word) themselves without any talent worth mentioning. Diana Dors, and others, died to make way for THEM?

You will always find another reason why the Sixties should never have ended every time I post!

Thanks for backing me up, Joe. I'm sure there are many others who've said it before me!

I half-watched that interview, while I was busy at the far more worthy Susan Littler's thread, and noticed that Katie Price DID apologise for breaking down in front of the cameras, but, unlike Dirk Bogarde, didn't request that they be turned off! That's the difference nowadays - young people always want to be seen crying ... or dancing.

That should read: Diana Dors - Big natural tits; Jordan - Big FAKE tits.

No wonder there are so many gay men these days. Apart from worrying about women's health every few minutes, there's also the regular reports of anorexic female celebrities (including at least two of The Spice Girls), those hideous tans/fake tans, and of course multiple boob-jobs. In the aforementioned Kerry Katona's case, she went the opposite way and had her breast-REDUCTION filmed.

But in my beloved 1950s, some of the most beautiful women EVER SEEN were in their prime and showing off their natural big breasts and curves - the aforementioned Diana, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, Sophia Loren, Anita Ekberg. I remember the latter being described by Barry Norman as "magnificently upholstered"

I think Raquel Welch was the first star to have a boob-job and Tracy Shaw the first glamour girl to battle anorexia. Am I right? Whatever, more and more girls are getting brainwashed by these dangerous trends.

I watched an episode of 'Hazell' last year and realised I forgot all about the late Susan Littler. Notice the unsubtle way I ignore the topic discussed above for a more worthy case.

You're quite right, winsford. I must have missed this among her credits but it's more than likely I did watch the original broadcast as I liked that show at the time. EDIT - Jane Asher and George Innes were also in the episode you watched, apparently. Worth buying the DVD for that cast alone.

Sounds like you're unaware of the new thread dedicated to Susan, which is in the 'Obituaries' section. Dave J.L. created it for the 27th anniversary of her death yesterday. Please add a few words about her.

    Don't mind going off-topic in Jordan's case.
