Right, I'm looking to all you out there to name a film that it is highly unlikely I have seen (but is available to acquire) and meets the following criteria:

    British

    1950 to late 70's

crime, action, mystery, war, comedy, (don't do love stories)

I have a small collection of films but all are well lknown classics: Titfield Thunderbolt, Where Eagles Dare, Ice Cold in Alex, After the Fox, Italian Job, Murder at the Gallop, Murder Most Foul, Murder Ahoy, Hannibal Brooks, St Trinians Train Robbery plus others, Dads Army,.......... you get the drift.

Actors that appeal: Peter Sellars, Margaret Rutherford, Terry Thomas, Alistair Simm, Bernard Cribbins, Richard Burton, Sean Connery,

Probably an impossible question. Just looking for that little known film that rarely/never gets an airing anymore and is a real gem.

    Thanks

    Breakaway - Tom Conway

Park Plaza 605 - Tom Conway

Blackout/Bond of Fear (double bill DVD) - Maxwell Reed/Dermot Walsh

These are four of my favourite 'real gems'.

All are available to buy from the usual suspects.

THE EMBEZZLER - a little gem starring Charles Victor and Zena Marshall; a nice little B picture about a downtrodden fellow who finally 'turns' in a very spectacular way, even though the execution of the deed is quite modest in itself. Well worth seeing and available in the 'trades' arena...

    Smudge

    Smudge

And there was me trying to be all retail minded.

So, if we are going down 'the trades' route these Maxwell Reed films are well worth a look ...

    The Dark Man

    Daybreak

    The Brain Machine

    Dear Murderer

    The Brothers

    Marilyn

    There Is Another Sun

Other decent (retail available) films featuring Max are ...

    Daughter of Darkness

    The Square Ring

    The Sea Devils
