    Today I got round to watching "The Terror" (1963 Roger Corman version, starring Boris Karloff) which I copied off BBC2 a few weeks ago. It's some years since I last saw it, and it still makes very little sense!! What struck me though was the continuity announcer's statement beforehand about it being a "late night horror film starring Jack Nicholson". Poor old Boris . . .

    You're right, Boris would be spinning in his grave. I recorded the film myself but haven't actually got round to watching it yet, would you believe. But I did notice the BBC showed it in full-screen rather than its original ratio, which is unfortunate, but a number of their late night (or early morning) film broadcasts have been shown in this manner.
