Bud Abbott

Wednesday, 2nd October 1895 - Wednesday, 24th April 1974

Basically the straight man half of Abbott & Costello, invariably more gruff and streetwise than his partner but just as capable of misadventure. One wonders how he would have fared as a dramatic actor. Costello gets all the close-ups which says something about his ego.
