Tall and imposing, with voice to match, South African born, but essentially British character actor guaranteed to bring gravitas and a stiff-upper-lip to any given role. Probably best remembered for his no nonsense Colour Sergeant in Zulu. I always liked his seemingly unlikely, but sincere Hercules too. |
