Built for the influential Sacchetti family in the sea park at Castel Fusano, near Ostia on the outskirts of Rome. It became known as Villa Chigi when it was sold to that family in the 18th century. The park was mostly ceded to the city of Rome in 1933, though the estate still remains in the Chigi family.
