Lacklustre adaptation of Lovecraft, which takes the barest germ of The Color Out of Space to create a generic horror scenario. Karloff is good, of course, but is offset by Adams' Brooklyn tough guy act, which is totally out of place. Somewhat redeemed by the finale, with a radioactive Karloff maurauding around in makeup that looks like a cheap Destro cosplay. The Bavaesque lighting effects are nice, too, the strong suit of director Haller.
