| When something goes wrong during the first manned mission to Mars, uncrupulous types fake the rest of the landing. I would have thought that this film would have become beloved of conspiracy theorists everywhere, but is now oddly forgotten. The OJ factor doesn't help and a somewhat silly finale with too much comic relief, but for my money, this is one of the best thrillers of the 70s. PS Sam Waterston's demise is one of my favourite moments in cinema, period. |
