| Bio of bad boy Italian Baroque artist Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, his paintings and his lover. Certainly not for every taste, but this sumptuous recreation of a life on a zero budget with odd visuals makes for gorgeous cinema. Possibly Derek Jarman's most accessible film though. Recommended to the art movie crowd. You know who you are. (The credits run down the screen by-the-by) |
