| The bullied girl with the zealot mother does the telekinetic revenge thing. For my money, still contains the best shock moment in any film ever. All this and a gratuitous nude shower scene. I remember someone in the audience yelling "180" during a key scene. Knock-out performance from Spacek and splendid work from Allen and Irving. Directed thoroughly over-the-top by De Palma - and it works! Nod also to Pino Donaggio's saccharine sweet then evil score. A classic. |
