Scientist working on developing a synthetic skin runs afoul of unscrupulous property developer with tragic consequences. Cutting out the middle man, Sam Raimi adapts and films his own super hero movie from scratch. Impressed. Further more a twisted revenge driven hero before that was in vogue. Some of the process work shows the film's age, conversely, some of the stunt work, like the helicopter fight, mostly done for real, packs a wallop cgi can only dream about. |
