After the defeat of the Spanish armada a small privateer finds itself looking for repairs on the English coast. The pirate crew manage to convince the locals that the Spanish were triumphant, but the clock is ticking. A delicious premise and Christopher Lee on fine form should add up to a classic, but despite having buckle the thing could do with a bit more swash. |
