The first of the "Macaroni combat" films quickly made in the wake of the success of The Dirty Dozen. Decent actors in a cliche-riddled, overlong mess of a film. There are hints of a better film in Jurgens' cynical general, and Ireland seems to be having fun, but the truly awful US dubbing delivers a fatal blow. Watch an Enzo G.
