Insurance investigator looking into death of a film star on the French Riviera finds odd activities at a hypnotherapy clinic.

Lackluster adaptation of potentially interesting material. Charles Eric Maine defangs his edgy sci-fi novel (probably unfilmable at the time), and the results are utterly forgettable, though the performances are perfectly adequate. The fact that everyone is a stereotype--the Germans are all Nazis, the French are all incompetent and corrupt, etc., doesn't help at all.
