Escaping the events of Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Zira, Cornelius and Milo manage to find themselves transported back to 20th Century Earth. While finding friends and allies they also find a foe who wishes to change the course of human history.

Third outing for the simian ones brings us a plot reversal of the first film. Despite the TV movie feel, this is probably my favourite apes movie, McDowall and Hunter are superb. For those of you that think the ending of the Avengers was a bit much, meet the 70s and one of the great cynical movie endings that will haunt you FOREVER. Highly recommended.
