| Intrigue in the courts of Elizabeth I and Philip of Spain leading up to the Spanish Armada. Brisk historical flag-waver with excellent turns from Flora Robson and Olivier although the latter's singing is a bit of an ordeal. Beautiful cinematography is somewhat lost in dodgy DVD transfers. |
