Jet Pilot

Josef von Sternberg
Director

Russian pilot/pretty lady Leigh flys to an American airfield to seek asylum. Unwilling to surrender any sensitive data, John Wayne is assigned to seduce the info out of her.

Pretty terrible movie made to showcase the modern US Air Force. Unfortunately Howard Hughes kept tinkering with it, so the film wasn't released until seven years after the bulk of the footage was shot, by which time the jets highlighted were obsolete (D'oh!). Of interest today mainly for watching two great voice actors (Conried and Frees) practice their Russian accents, as well as footage of old jets.
