Human memory card finds himself on the run from both evil corporations and the yakuza, both of whom want the sensitive information hidden in his head.

You would think a movie with both Takeshi Kitano and Udo Kier among the cast would be great. You would be wrong. A terrible film, badly directed by a music video auteur in way over his head. What should have been a very important film instead becomes a prime piece of 90s cheese, thanks mainly to William Gibson himself. A great writer, but one who cannot adopt his own work into a decent screenplay. It took another few years for The Matrix to fully capture the spirit of the cyberpunk movement that Gibson pioneered, and is now essentially reality.
