Lady Godiva of Coventry

1955

Arthur Lubin
Director
Universal Pictures
Production Company

Rivalries among assorted Saxon Earls are compounded with the aspirations of the Norman court of Edward the Confessor.

Somewhat convoluted historical biopic which I fancy might have more truth about it than you might think from a Hollywood product.

Alas, like peeping Tom we are deprived of Ms. O'Hara in the buff, but offset with a few glimpses of a baby Clint Eastwood, who sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb as Alfred the Fletcher.

Cut by the British censor to obtain a U certificate.
