The Living Daylights

1987

John Glen
Director
Eon Productions
Production Company

Madman arms dealer attempts the usual start-a-war thing.

The Bond formula gets some badly needed new blood and attempts a tad more realism, but Dalton never seems at ease in the role and the villains seem rather lacklustre.

Best bits: An astonishing fight sequence out of the back of a Hercules transport plane and the last good Bond score by John Barry with able assist from A-Ha.
