| Long before Joan Hickson became the definitive Miss Marple, Margaret Rutherford brought her own unique persona to the role. Agatha Christie fans were generally appalled by the slightly comic Rutherford and the liberties taken with the plots (one of the films is really Poirot title!). I always though these films were enormously entertaining aided by ron Goodwin's jaunty score. |
