Based on the popular novel by John Steinback, two down-and-out drifters take up work on a ranch in California, but tragedy is on the horizon when one of them inadvertently causes the death of the boss's daughter-in-law.

Awkward adaptation of a classic book, filmed in black & white and featuring some stiff performances from some clearly mis-cast leads.
