| A collection of individual stories take place which ultimately end up in one big coming together, including a restaurant robbery with Roth/Plummer, a money deal involving Jackson/Travolta and a story involving Willis/Rhames and a fixed boxing match. It's an all-star cast esemble for Tarantino's successful second feature following on from the brilliant Reservoir Dogs three years previous. It gave John Travolta's career a much-needed boost and earned him an Academy Award nomination. QT followed this one with an even better one (my own personal opinion, probably not most peoples); Jackie Brown (1997). |
