| The modern-day reworking of a classic tale about an outlaw who takes matters into his own hands to rid England's undeserved rich of their wealth in favour of supporting the poor people of Sherwood Forest. Naturally this doesn't go down too well with the powers-that-be who are bleeding the country dry to feed their fat pockets whilst the King is away fighting for the cause.... Some great actors - probably on par with the wonderful 1938 version in terms of cast popularity of its day, and for those who have yet to see it - a big surprise cameo in the guise of King Richard at the end. An informative scene-by-scene commentary by the two Kevins (director Reynolds and actor Costner) plus a bunch of great extras make the 2-disc Special Extended Edition DVD a must-have.
