| A writer returns to his old home town hoping to lay to rest a few old horrors - only to find some new ones. Deviates somewhat from King's novel, notably in the use of the pantomime demon for Barlow, but when that fellow makes his first appearance you'll be glad you were wearing your depends. Genuinely creepy with a knockout perfomance from Mason. TV movie production values and pacing dilute some of the horror but still this is up among the great horror films. |
