Ernest engineer (Price) comes to New York to get a backer for his new tractor design. . . Romantic complications ensue. A Wedding and no funerals, 1939 style. Chirpy little comedy marks the screen debut of Vincent Price, a long way from his future horror film persona. -The SlothThis may be Vincent's first film, but Mischa Auer's loony Russian chef takes the blue ribbon here amongst a great cast. There is one great bit where Vincent feigns going mad ("there's always been insanity in my family!"), giving a nice foreshadow of his future career arc. -Dave W.Not available on DVD, hence the Youtube vidcaps. |
