| The last of Earth's greenery is stored in greenhouses and loaded onto space ships. When the order comes to abandon the project and destroy the plant life, one of the astronauts rebels. Hippy sci-fi is a total joy and alarmingly still relevent today. Bruce Dern is his usual unhinged self, but in a good way this time, and aided by three scene stealing 'droids. The soundtrack featuring songs by Joan Baez is a bit much though, on the downside. |
