Out of the humble cabin, out of the singing heart of the Old South have come the tales of Uncle Remus, rich in simple truths, forever fresh and new. ~Disney title card Phew. Yes, it's riddled with faintly offensive stereotypes. Yes it contains the performance that nabbed the second Academy Award for an African-American - therefore to suppress it is the greater evil in my humble opinion. Oh, and Disney's embarrassment didn't stop them building a them park ride based on the movie I note. Vidcaps courtesy Chris Survela, notes by The Sloth |
