| A bunch of desperate types is enlisted to drive a dangerous cargo over mountainous roads. Remaking the Wages of Fear must have seemed like a good idea, but this version has few friends, possibly because there is no one to root for. Friedkin's stunning visuals are emasculated by the pan & scan presentation (Why? Why? Why?). Great score by Tangerine Dream. |
