In a post apocalyptic world (last year, in fact, 2012) humanity bands together in communes suspicious of eachother and with good reason. The Baron, leader of one such commune has found a way to cultivate new crops. He recruits a fighter to protect his interests.

Solemn end-of-the-world stuff typical of the 70s with much fisticuffs, setting up the showdown betwixt Brynner and Smith. Nice use of familiar Burbank sets.
