The Black Prince has to deal with rebellious French nobles in 14th century Aquitaine.

Simplistic but solid little B-movie is basically a Western in medieval garb, but competently done. The English are all nobles in white hats and the French all hissable baddies in black hats; the actual Hundred Years War was a tad more complicated. Flynn, in his last action film, is out of shape but does his best, Dru is wasted as a whiny damsel, and Finch gnaws upon French scenery as the evil rancher, I mean noble. Davies and Hunter get the best parts, and the action scenes are well done. Like all medieval films, the idea of knights running around and swordfighting in full armour is a bit ludicrous, though!
