Set in the near future when the Polar ice caps have melted and flooded the Earth, a handful of survivors remain. A lone mariner (Costner) seeks dry land in his custom-made boat but is thwarted by a gang of pirates intent on ruling what's left of the world.

Unfairly criticized upon release for being a massive box-office flop, yet the same people who dared to judge it for being rubbish were the same people who helped it recover its money by buying it. A two-disc Extended Cut of the film is available on DVD only in USA.
