| Creepy mansion house. The reading of a will. Pretty girl. Hapless hero. Portrait with moving eyes. Yup, a retread of The Old Dark House/Cat and the Canary. Very enjoyable though courtesy of Kenneth Connor's effortless everyman charm and Sid James as his usual conniving self. Perfection would require a bit more pace and a few more scares and laughs. |
