| A lady accepts a teaching job in an idyllic English village following an unnerving voodoo encounter. No peace here, of course. One of those films which suffers because so many subsequent films have mined the same seam, intelligent little shocker, which if it had Wicker Man's twist would have been a classic for the ages, but it doesn't and must settle for 'routine'. The opening voodoo sequence is genuinely unsettling though. |
