| John Irving's slice-of-eccentric-life comes to the screen sporting a wonderful cast (Lithgow and Close are terrific). Too much incident makes the thing seem fragmented, but a worthy effort. The sort of thing Bill 'Local Hero' Forsythe should have directed. |
