The Cable Guy

Ben Stiller
Director
Columbia Pictures
Production Company

A slightly bizarre loner poses as a cable repairman in order to strike up friendships with his customers.

This was the movie which sparked the controversy surrounding Jim Carrey and his demands for a $20m paycheck. Many believed he was comitting a career suicide; personally I think it is one of Carrey's best performances. He also demonstrates a singing talent when he covers Jefferson Airplane's Somebody To Love during a karaoke scene.
