| A highly respected doctor (Cruise) finds himself being drawn into a world of dangerous intrigue when his wife (Kidman) confesses to him of a sexual fantasy she has with a perfect stranger. Utterly compelling and incredibly addictive viewing of a movie which took so many years to make that by the time it was completed the directer died before he got to see it! ~ Lord. Bizarre sexual games are played in Kubrick's final film. Something of a disappointment - were it by anyone else but Kubrick we might have liked it more. Finally the extra naughty-bits are restored to the US version. ~ The Sloth. |
