| One of the 60 films in the collection Early Cinema: Primitives and Pioneers. This one proves the Brits could hold their own in the movie biz (at least in 1905). This film marks a more naturalistic and less theatrical style than its peers. Apparently the budget for the feature was seven pounds thirteen shillings and sixpence. So successful was it in its day that the thing was remade twice! Great stuff. |
