| Jean Rollin had been making unique vampire movies since Le viol du vampire (1967), this one, Shiver of the Vampires, is possibly the high water mark. Throw a hippy mentality, free love and all that sort of trippy decadence into a pot add a dash of lesbian vampirettes and stir. The results don't always make sense, but this is as stylish as Eurotrash comes outside the work of Dario Argento. |
