| What happens when...three film buffs, two siblings and an outsider American come together during the turbulent left wing riots against De Gaulle's government in 1968. Bertolucci has lost none of his talent, but somehow this mix of pretty young things' sexual awakening and weighty issues seems rather dull. Suitably charged ending though, but it would help if one cared more. |
