| Animated CG movie about a youg boy who doesn't believe in Santa Claus, until one Christmas Eve he steps aboard a curious train, full of similar young doubters, which is heading for the North Pole. Originally released in IMAX movie theatres, I was fortunate enough to witness this experience first-hand and it was like no other movie I had ever seen before - or since. Unfortunately the standard DVD release lacks everything that made it so incredible to view to begin with. ~ Lord. Like many entertainments these days, this CGI animated Xmas bauble seems overly padded. The Snowman made the same point in 1/3 of the time. I'm not the thing's target audience, but I was unimpressed (even by the undoubted technical wizardry). ~ The Sloth. |
